The novel The Perfect Couple by the author Elin Hilderbrandhas been adapted into a miniseries and we already have the first look at this television project directed by Susanne Bier (Bird Box, The Undoing, The Night Manager) what will premiere on Netflix in September.
SYNOPSIS:
“A perfect life is full of secrets…
Amelia Sacks is about to marry the heir to one of Massachusetts’s wealthiest families. Her soon-to-be mother-in-law, famed novelist Greer Garrison Winbury, isn’t happy about it, but she’s spared no expense in planning what promises to be the wedding of the season—until a body washes up on the beach. As secrets come to light, the stage is set for an investigation straight out of the pages of one of Greer’s novels. Suddenly, everyone is a suspect.
Nicole Kidman leads the cast of the miniseries with Liev Schreiber (Ray Donovan), Dakota Fanning (Man on Fire), Jack Reynor (Midsummer), y Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus). They accompany them Eve Hewson (Bad Sisters), ishaan khatter (Pippa), Sam Nivola (Eileen), Michael Beach (Mayor of Kingstown), Donna Lynne Champlin (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), Mia Isaace Isabelle Adjani.
Bier directs all episodes of The perfect coupleas well as being the executive producer. Jenna Lamia adapted Hilderbrand's novel and is the showrunner and executive producer. Shawn Levy is also an executive producer, with Gail Berman, Hend Baghdady, Kidman, Per Saari, Hilderbrand and Josh Barry.
We believe this miniseries will be the beginning of multiple adaptations that Netflix will make of Hilderbrand's work.
The Perfect Couple Premieres September 5 on Netflix.
