Here is a classic recipe for Nega Maluca, a fluffy and delicious chocolate cake:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 1 cup of chocolate powder

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1 cup of hot water

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 1 tablespoon powdered yeast

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • Butter or margarine and wheat flour to grease the mold

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. 
    Unite a round shape with butter or margarine and sprinkle with wheat flour.
  • In a large bowl, sift the wheat flour, sugar, cocoa powder and salt. 
    Mix well.
  • Add the eggs, oil and hot water to the dry mixture. 
    Mix everything with a spoon or fouet until you get a homogeneous mass.
  • Add the baking powder and stir gently until incorporated into the dough.
  • Pour the dough into the greased mold and level the surface with a spatula.
  • Place in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before unmolding.
  • Unmold the cake onto a serving plate and let it cool completely.
