As part of the Geeked Week event taking place in Atlanta, Netflix revealed the first official trailer from the new horror thriller Don’t Move, from the producer Sam Raimi (The Evil Dead, Drag Me to Hell), acquired last April by the streamer for distribution worldwide.
The project titled Don't move In our market, it is led by Adam Schindler y Brian Netto (50 States of Fright) with a hyphen of T.J. Cimfel y David White (Intruders).
Kelsey Asbille (Yellowstone, Fargo, Wind River) y Find Wittrock (The Big Short, Ratched) co-star The film aims to tell a story in real time, lasting 85 minutes.
Co-director Netto explained it to the screenwriters: “The challenge we put to them was, 'We'd love for it to be in real time.' We love movies that do that.”
The plot centers on a woman (Asbille) who is grieving in an isolated forest when she meets a stranger. The man ends up injecting her with a paralyzing agent, giving her a limited time of 20 minutes to seek help, before her entire nervous system shuts down completely.
The trailer reveals the challenges our protagonist faces while giving glimpses of how these challenges could impact her. “At minute one, your fine motor skills will start to fail”says a voice belonging to Wittrock. “At minute 10, your legs will start to tingle. At minute 15, your legs will give out completely. At minute 18, your breathing will become labored. And just before everything goes out, your voice.”

Asbille explained to Geeked Week the meaning of what his character is going through:
“[La película] It's a “stripped-down, dynamic thriller that is at times very personal. That's what struck me, desperately struggling to overcome something that has left you paralyzed.”
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:
“It follows a seasoned serial killer who injects a grieving woman with a paralyzing agent while the two are isolated deep in the woods. As the agent gradually takes over her body, she must run, hide and fight for her life before her entire nervous system shuts down.”

Executive producers are David Haring, Roman Viaris, and Ruzanna Kegeyan of Capstone; Peter Jákl and Ara Keshishian of ZQ Entertainment; Michael Pessell, Roger Chenn, Marc Manus, Schindler, and Neto.
Netflix premieres Don’t Move October 25, 2024 in all markets where the streamer is available.
