The classic fantasy rom-com from 2004, 13 Going on 30, will have a reboot with home in Netflix.
The reboot will star Emily Bader (People We Meet on Vacation) y Logan Lerman (Oh, Hi!), and executive produced by Jennifer Garnerstar of the original film (via Deadline).
Brett Haley will be the director of the feature film, marking a new collaboration between the filmmaker and Bader, after the actress starred People We Meet on Vacationwhich Haley directed for Netflix. This film, released on the streamer in January of this year, spent four weeks in the Global Top 10 of the platform's most popular English-language films, and reached the Top 10 of most popular films in 92 countries. The source explains that after this, Haley and Bader were eager to work together again, finding in the reboot of 13 Going on 30the perfect project for them.

Haley will direct the script written by Hannah Marks (Mark, Mary, & Some Other People), with reviews of Flora Greeson (The Princess Diaries 3).
Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum will produce with their company RK Films, with Garner executive producing alongside Donna Roth and Susan Arnold, and Scott Hemming for Revolution Studios, Alyssa Altman and Marks.

I feel incredibly lucky to be entrusted with a project that means so much to so many people.”
In recent days, Bader joined another Netflix project, the sports drama The 99’ersabout the exploits of the United States Women's National Soccer Team in the 1999 World Cup, in which Bader will play the team's star, Mia Hamm.
Lerman, for his part, starred in the dark comedy Oh, Hi! which Sony Pictures Classics acquired after its world premiere at Sundance 2026, and is part of the fifth season of Only Murders in the Building de Hulu.
