On December 25, theaters were drenched in darkness with the release of the remake of the horror classic, Nosferatufrom the screenwriter and director Robert Eggers (The Witch, The Lighthouse, The Northman) and the study Focus Features.

This is also the second box office and critical hit for the Focus Features studio in the fall-winter season, after the premiere of Conclave last October.

Although the film was released in the United States on Christmas, In Mexico and the rest of the Latin American market we have to wait for its debut on the big screen on January 1, 2025.

In the remake, Nosferatu/Count Orlock is played by Bill Skarsgårdwho is accompanied by Lily-Rose Depp (The Idol, Silent Night), Nicholas Hoult (The Menu, Renfield), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kraven the Hunter, Nocturnal Animals), Emma Corrin (The Crown, My Policeman), Simon McBurney (The Conjuring 2), Ralph Ineson (The Witch, The Northman), y Willem Dafoe (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, The Lighthouse) as Professor Albin Eberthart Von Franz, vampire hunter.

“In the new reinvention, Nosferatu is a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman (Lily-Rose Depp) in 19th century Germany and the ancient vampire of Transylvania (Bill Skarsgard) who stalks her, bringing with him unspeakable horror.”

Eggers wrote and directed the remake, as well as producing it alongside Jeff Robinov, John Graham, Chris Columbus and Eleanor Columbus. Production companies are Maiden Voyage Pictures, Studio 8, Birch Hill Road Entertainment.
