Ingredients

  • 300g pasta (can be spaghetti, penne, or whatever type you prefer)

  • 4 sausages (can be chicken, pork, or beef)

  • 1 medium onion, chopped

  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped

  • 1 can of tomato sauce (or sauce of your choice)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Grated cheese (optional, for serving)

  • Chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Directions

  • If the sausages are raw, cook them in boiling water for a few minutes until they are completely cooked. Then, remove them from the water, drain and cut them into slices or smaller pieces.
  • In a large pot, cook the pasta according to package instructions in boiling salted water. Drain when al dente (cooked but still firm).
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until it becomes soft and translucent, then add the chopped garlic and sauté for another minute.
  • Place the sausage slices in the pan and sauté for a few minutes until they are lightly browned.
  • Pour the tomato sauce over the sausages in the pan. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Let the mixture simmer gently for about 5 minutes so the flavors combine.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sausage sauce. Mix well so that the pasta is completely coated in the sauce.
  • Cook for a few more minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally, so the pasta absorbs the flavor of the sauce.
  • Serve the pasta and sausage hot, sprinkled with grated cheese and chopped fresh parsley on top, if desired.
