Destry Allyn Spielbergdaughter of the legendary Steven Spielberg and actress Kate Capshaw, is preparing her debut as a feature film director, with which she is being promoted as “the most terrifying debut of the year”.
Its debut marks the independent psychological horror thriller Please Don’t Feed the Childrenwhich celebrated its world premiere at the 57th Sitges Film Festival in October 2024, and was subsequently acquired by Tubi for its premiere on American soil, arriving on the platform on June 27, 2025.
The project already It has a release date in theaters in Mexico. It will be under the title Don't feed the childrenand will arrive to our big screen on November 20, 2025.

The plot of Don't feed the childrendelves into a post-apocalyptic world where children must survive after a virus that devastated adults.
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:
After a viral outbreak devastates the country's adult population, a group of orphans heads south in search of a new life, only to find themselves at the mercy of a deranged woman hiding a dangerous secret.
The cast stars Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey, The Gentlemen), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul), Zoe Colletti (Only Murders in the Building, Fear the Walking Dead), y Andrew Liner (Ransom Canyon).
According to the trailer images, Dockery plays a deranged mother who has reached the point of no return and has kidnapped a group of children to do with them as she pleases. Esposito plays a small-town detective. We also see several moments of the children trying to free themselves from Dockery's clutches.
Spielberg directs the script written by another newcomer, Paul Bertino. Bertino debuts as a feature film screenwriter.

The young filmmaker is clear about her objectives, “promoting new careers” for actors:
“I'm tired of seeing movies where there is a lack of young talent. There are so many young, talented actors who don't make themselves known. I think the whole system is shit, and I don't understand why the industry is so exclusive. It's nonsense.”
