Ingredients
3 eggs
2 cups of sugar
3 cups of wheat flour
1 cup of chocolate powder
1 cup of oil
1 cup of hot water
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 can of condensed milk
1 tablespoon margarine
100g grated coconut
1 can of condensed milk
1 can of cream
4 tablespoons of chocolate powder
1 tablespoon margarine
Directions
- In a bowl, beat the eggs and add the sugar, mixing well.
- Add the oil, chocolate powder and hot water, mixing until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
- Add the wheat flour little by little, mixing well.
- Lastly, add the baking powder and mix gently.
- Pour the dough into a greased and floured pan.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for approximately 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- In a pan, mix the condensed milk, margarine and grated coconut.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the brigadeiro starts to come away from the bottom of the pan.
- Set aside and let it cool.
- In a pan, mix the condensed milk, cream, chocolate powder and margarine.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture reaches a soft brigadeiro point.
- Let cool.
- Cut the cake in half, forming two layers.
- Place half of the coconut filling on one of the cake parts.
- Place the other part of the cake on top and cover with the rest of the filling.
- Finish by pouring the chocolate icing over the cake, spreading it well.
- Decorate to taste, with grated coconut or chocolate shavings.
- Refrigerate for a few hours before serving so the cake firms up and the flavors intensify.
