We are just over a month away from the theatrical release of Abigailthe vampire project prepared by Radio Silence (The directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin y Tyler Gillettand the producer Chad Villella) and the study Universal Pictures.
That is why the studio continues with the marketing campaign by launching a handful of official images with chaotic and raw looks at the main cast playing a gang of criminals who kidnap a seemingly innocent dancing girl. As we could see in the trailer, once kidnapped, the little girl reveals her true vampire nature.
The cast is headed by Melissa Barrera, marking for her a new collaboration with Radio Silence, after starring in Scream 5 and Scream VI (2023), Dan Stevens (Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Gaslit), Alisha Weir (Matilda: The Musical), Kevin Durand (Swamp Thing, Ballers), Kathryn Newton (Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Big Little Lies), Angus Cloud (Euphoria), Will Catlett (A Thousand and One), y Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Mandalorian).
SYNOPSIS:
“After a group of would-be criminals kidnap a 12-year-old dancer, daughter of a powerful underworld figure, they only have to watch her during the night in order to collect a $50 million ransom. In an isolated mansion, the captors They begin to disappear, one by one, and discover, to their growing horror, that the little girl they are locked up with is not normal.”
Bettinelli-Olpin y Gillett (Ready or Not, Scream 5, Scream VI) co-direct, while Villella produces alongside William Sherak, Paul Neinstein y James Vanderbilt de Project X Entertainment.
The script was written by Stephen Shields (The Hole in the Ground, Zombie Bashers) y Guy Busick (Scream 5, Scream VI, Ready Or Not).
Another producer is Tripp Vinson. Jay Polidoro, Holly Goline, Kelly Cannon and Jacqueline Garell oversaw the project on behalf of Universal.
Universal Pictures will release the film in theaters on April 19, 2024.
