'Ready or Not 2: Here I Come' featurette teases a “bigger, badder, bloodier” sequel

At the end of March, it will hit theaters Ready or Not 2: Here I Comesequel to the 2019 horror hit, Ready or Not, from Searchlight Pictures.

The studio continues to prepare the audience for an installment “bigger, badder, bloodier”as made clear by the Featurette recently shared by Searchlight, which is accompanied by the reactions of a large part of the cast, its co-directors and crew members.

The new installment, titled in our region bloody wedding 2picks up the plot a few moments after where the original film ends, with the return of final girl Grace (Samara Weaving), and incorporating Faith (Kathryn Newton), her younger sister and from whom she is estranged. The story follows Grace after the events of her unforgettable wedding night. She thinks she's safe… but the sadistic games aren't over.. Grace will have to face more families in hopes of claiming the High Council Seat.

Tyler Gillett y Matt Bettinelli-Olpin They return as directors, along with the return of the co-writers Guy Busick y R. Christopher Murphy.

The cast also includes Sarah Michelle Gellar (I Know What You Did Last Summer, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Scream 2), Elijah Wood (The Monkey, The Lord of the Rings), Shawn Hatosy (The Pitt, The Faculty), Nestor Carbonell (The Morning Show, Shogun), Kevin Durand (Abigail), and to the delight of all horror genre film buffs, the filmmaker specializing in the horror genre, David Cronenberg (The Fly).

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:

“Moments after surviving a ruthless attack by the Le Domas family, Grace (Samara Weaving) discovers she has reached the next level of the nightmarish game, and this time with her estranged sister Faith (Kathryn Newton) by her side. Grace has a chance to survive, keep her sister alive, and claim the High Council Seat that controls the world. Four rival families are after her for the throne, and whoever wins will rule all.”

The Motion Picture Association (MPA), the organization in charge of granting age ratings to all film projects from major Hollywood studios, gave the sequel the Rated R by:

“Intense and bloody violence, blood, inappropriate language and brief drug use”.

For comparison, the first film was Rated R for the same reasons.

The original delivery of 2019, bloody weddingrevolves around Grace (Weaving), a young woman who joins her new husband's very rich and eccentric family. During the wedding night he is asked to participate in a family tradition that quickly turns into a deadly game of kill or be killed.

It had a worldwide box office of $57 million against a budget of just $6 million.

The producers are Tripp Vinson, James Vanderbilt, Bradley J. Fischer, and William Sherak. The executive producers are Chad VillellaTara Farney, Greg Denny, Busick, Murphy, Weaving, y Paul Neinstein.
