The next film project Christopher Nolan made another new signing, who turns out to be a familiar face for the filmmaker.
Robert Pattinsonwho starred Tenet by Nolan, has just become the most recent addition to a cast that already has confirmed Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya y Lupita Nyong'o.
Pattinson is filming right now The Drama by Kristoffer Borgli, alongside Zendaya.
THR's sources say Damon, Holland, Hathaway and Pattinson will play the lead roles, with Nyong'o and Zendaya playing supporting roles.
As is usual with the director's projects, plot details are kept secret. There are rumors that it would be a period vampire thriller or an action thriller involving helicopters, although a previous report clarified that, “descriptions of the film that have been published to date are erroneous and details are kept secret.”
The film is expected to begin filming in early 2025.
Nolan wrote the script and will direct the feature film that will be distributed by Universal Picturesjust as happened with the acclaimed Oppenheimer. The studio set its premiere in theaters for July 17, 2026.
The film's release will include IMAX format. IMAX CEO Richard Gelfond told Variety that the filmmaker will experiment with “new IMAX technology,” and “equipment never used before.”
Nolan will produce alongside his associate and wife, Emma Thomasfor their production company, Syncopy.
Pattinson's most recent projects include The Batmanand lending his voice to the English version of the Oscar-winning animated film, The Boy and the Heron. Prior to filming The Dramafilmed Die, My Loveand has the sequel in pre-production The Batman Part II. In April 2025 we will be able to see it in theaters with Mickey 17 by filmmaker Bong Joon Ho.
