With production underway in New York City, the new installment The Exorcistwritten, directed and produced by Mike Flanagan to Universal Pictureshas already made a new signing.
According to reports from Deadline, the actress Sasha Calle (The Rip, The Flash) reached an agreement to be part of the cast of the next installment of the horror franchise.
The details of Calle's role, as well as those of the plot, are kept under lock and key in a church.

Calle made her film debut as Supergirl in The Flashalso appearing in On Swift Horses, In The Summersand more recently the action thriller The Rip from Netflix, alongside Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.

The project will be produced by Blumhouse-Atomic Monster, Morgan Creek Entertainment and Flanagan, with Universal Pictures in charge of bringing it to theaters around the world.
David Robinson is another of the producers along with Jason Blum. Alexandra Magistro will executive produce for Flanagan's Red Room Pictures, and Ryan Turek for Blumhouse-Atomic Monster.
The new version of The exorcist will hit theaters on Friday, March 12, 2027.
