Ingredients
2 cups of wheat flour
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup of oil
3 eggs
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 cooked and shredded chicken breast
1 chopped onion
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
1 chopped tomato
1/2 cup green corn
1/2 cup peas
Salt and pepper to taste
Parsley and chives to taste
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- In a frying pan, sauté the onion and garlic in a little oil until soft. Add the chopped tomato and sauté for a few more minutes.
- Add the shredded chicken to the skillet and season with salt, pepper, parsley and chives to taste. Cook for a few more minutes and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, milk, oil and eggs. Beat well until you obtain a homogeneous mass.
- Add the braised chicken to the dough and mix well.
- Add the green corn and peas to the dough and mix gently.
- Pour the dough into a greased and floured pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 40-45 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool a little before unmolding.
- Serve the savory chicken cake hot or at room temperature.
