'Scream 8' is officially in development; the script will be written by Lilla and Nora Zuckerman

Ghostface will haunt you again.

Spyglass has put the development of Scream 8 officially, with Lilla and Nora Zuckermanknown as the Zuckerman sisterslike scriptwriters of the eighth installmentaccording to Deadline reports.

The Zuckerman sisters were previously the showrunners of the first season of Poker Face from Peacock, starring Natasha Lyonne. They have also worked as scriptwriters and executive producers on series such as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Suits, Fringe y Prodigal Son.

The news is confirmed after the enormous commercial success of Scream 7which became the highest-grossing installment in the long-running slasher horror franchise, grossing more than $200 million at the global box office.
