NEON revealed this morning the first trailer for the acclaimed winner of the Cannes 2024 Palme d'Or, Anorafrom the screenwriter and director Sean Baker (Tangerine, The Florida Project).
Anora It stars Mikey Madison (Scream 5, Better Things) as a Brooklyn stripper who is transformed into a modern-day Cinderella when she meets the son of a Russian oligarch. Complications arise when her parents find out and attempt to annul the marriage.
The cast also includes Mark Eidelstein, Ella Rubin, Paul Weissman, Emily Weider, Lindsey Normington, Yuri Borisov, Karren Karaguliany Vache Tovmasyan.
The film will be distributed domestically by NEON, and internationally by Focus Features and Universal Pictures.

FilmNation Entertainment produced the feature film, alongside Samantha Quan, Alex Coco, and Baker.
Its triumph at Cannes earned NEON its fifth consecutive Palme d'Or, after having won it with Parasite, Titane, Triangle of Sadnessy Anatomy of a FallBaker became the first American filmmaker to win it since Terrence Malick's triumph in 2011 for Tree of Life.
Anora It is the eighth feature film written and directed by Baker.
NEON set the Theatrical release on October 18, 2024under limited release.
