Sebastian Stan negotiates to join 'The Batman Part II'

The cast of The Batman Part II of Matt Reeveswants to add more talent from the MCU, to accompany the return of Robert Pattinson like the dark knight.

While a few weeks ago it was reported that Scarlett Johansson is negotiating a role in the sequel, it is now revealed that another member of the MCU, Sebastian Stanholds talks to join the cast.

There are no details about the role he is responsible for at the moment, according to reports from Variety.

As members of the MCU, Stan and Johansson worked together on many of the installments of said cinematic universe. Stan also appeared alongside Pattinson in The Devil all the Time (2020).

Stan, recently nominated for an Oscar for best supporting actor for The Apprenticeappeared on the big screen last summer reprising his role as Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier in Thunderbolts*. In December of this year he will do it again in Avengers: Doomsday.

The filming of The Batman Part II is planned to begin in spring 2026, with launch in theaters scheduled for October 1, 2027 in charge of Warner Bros.

The sequel officially got underway in April 2022, with Reeves returning as director and co-writer with Mattson Tomlin. They both co-wrote the first installment.

The Batman (2022) became a box office success, accumulate more than $770 million in the global box officeand earn the title as the third highest-grossing film in times of pandemic, after its premiere in March 2022.

The argument of The Batman focused on the Dark Knight's beginnings as he evolves into an experienced vigilante, uncovering corruption in Gotham City and learning more about his billionaire family's past.

Little is known about the plot of the sequel beyond knowing that “will take audiences back to Gotham.”

Reeves and Tomlin's script reached its final stages last June.

In addition to Pattinson, other members returning for the sequel include Andy Serkis like Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright like James Gordon, Colin Farrell like the Penguin. The return of Barry Keoghan like the Joker, and probably the one from Paul Dano as Edward Nashton/The Riddler. The one who does not return is Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman.
