'Shrek 5' adds Marcello Hernandez and Skyler Gisondo to its voice cast

DreamWorks Animation is celebrating Thanksgiving with news about Shrek 5.

The new sequel to the animated franchise, which will take us back to The Swamp, announced two new members of its cast: Marcello Hernandez (Saturday Night Live) y Skyler Gisondo (Superman) join in by lending their voices to Fiona and Shrek's children, Fergus and Farkle.

In a video published by the official account of Shrek from DreamWorks on Instagram, Hernández and Gisondo appeared getting into character, and Hernández even painted his body green to evoke his role as an ogre.

“Maybe I went a little overboard,” wrote Hernández, while sharing photos of himself in his best Shrek costume.

Gisondo, who shared a photo of himself wearing a Shrek hat, advised Hernandez via text message: “Dude, they look amazing, but you know we're just doing the voices, right?”. And a surprised Hernández appeared, with a green face.

Shrek 5 features the return of the original stars, Mike Myers, Eddie Murphyy Cameron Diazlending their voices to Shrek, Donkey and Princess Fiona, respectively, with Zendaya lending her voice to Felicia, Shrek and Fiona's other daughter. Fergus, Farkle and Felicia are the triplet children of our protagonists, whom we met in the third film.
