Ingredients
2 cups of wheat flour
1 cup of sugar
3 eggs
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup oil
1 teaspoon vanilla essence (optional)
1 tablespoon powdered yeast
pinch of salt
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a round mold with butter and flour.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar and salt.
- In another bowl, lightly beat the eggs and add the milk, oil and vanilla essence.
Stir well until smooth. - Add the egg mixture to the flour mixture and stir gently until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Add the baking powder to the dough and mix gently.
- Pour the dough into the greased mold and place in the preheated oven.
- Bake for about 30-40 minutes or until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes in the pan.
Then transfer to a cooling rack and cool completely before serving.
