Ingredients

  • 500g wheat flour

  • 1 sachet (10g) of dry yeast

  • 1 teaspoon of sugar

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • 300ml of warm water

  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

Directions

  • In a small bowl, mix the dry yeast with the warm water and sugar. 
    Let it rest for 5-10 minutes until foam forms on the surface.
  • In a large bowl, mix the wheat flour and salt. 
    Make a hole in the center.
  • Pour the yeast mixture into the well in the flour.
  • Add vegetable oil.
  • Mix the ingredients gradually, incorporating the flour until a dough forms.
  • Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes, or until it is soft and elastic.
  • Place the dough back into the bowl, cover with a damp cloth and let it rest in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until the dough has doubled in size.
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • After the rest time, knead the dough again for a few minutes.
  • Shape the dough into a greased and floured loaf pan.
  • Cover again with the damp cloth and let it rest for another 30 minutes.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the bread is golden on the top and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  • Remove from the oven, let cool slightly and enjoy!
