Ingredients
500g wheat flour
1 sachet (10g) of dry yeast
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 teaspoon of salt
300ml of warm water
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
Directions
- In a small bowl, mix the dry yeast with the warm water and sugar.
Let it rest for 5-10 minutes until foam forms on the surface. - In a large bowl, mix the wheat flour and salt.
Make a hole in the center. - Pour the yeast mixture into the well in the flour.
- Add vegetable oil.
- Mix the ingredients gradually, incorporating the flour until a dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes, or until it is soft and elastic.
- Place the dough back into the bowl, cover with a damp cloth and let it rest in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until the dough has doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- After the rest time, knead the dough again for a few minutes.
- Shape the dough into a greased and floured loaf pan.
- Cover again with the damp cloth and let it rest for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the bread is golden on the top and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- Remove from the oven, let cool slightly and enjoy!
