The problem on many occasions is the condescending look that perches on the difficulties in question, presenting the disabled as happy heroes despite their endearing problems or grumpy to which everything is forgiven because they have enough with their own. Fortunately, Sorda From Eva Libertad, these pitfalls raffle with intelligence offering a portrait full of humanity with their lights and their shadows.

Sorda Relatives Angela's experience, a woman with hearing impairment who is waiting for a daughter with her partner Héctor, who has normal audition. Pregnancy awakens in Angela concerns about her future maternity, particularly in regard to communication with her baby. The birth of the little girl will cause tensions in the couple and place Angela in the face of the challenge of raising her daughter in a society that is not adapted for people with her condition.

The Freedom Film presents in Angela a character of human complexity that is equally suffering, selfish and isolated. This means that as spectators we are able to understand their fears and desires without falling into a benevolent look: Angela suffers, is wrong and behaves like a human being, not as a being of light or as a bitter arisca, so that Sorda It transcends the portrait of disability, with a character with the edges of any of us. It also happens with secondary ones, the couple and parents, who fight as they can be understanding sometimes, being hit by others, but always struggling to adapt to a difficult situation for all.
