One week to go until the cinema release of the long-awaited Alien: Romuluswhich promises to become another outstanding installment of the horror and science fiction saga Alien de 20th Century Studios.
The film, directed by the director and co-writer Fede Alvarez (Don’t Breathe, Evil Dead), revealed a look at the iconic Xenomorph villain who will be stalking a new group of victims, in a behind-the-scenes where he is seen standing next to Álvarez ready for the scene.

Romulus It stars Cailee Spaeny (Civil War, Priscilla, Mare of Easttown), Isabela Merced (Tansformers: The Last Knight, Instant Family), Archie Renaux (Upgraded, The Other Zoey), David Johnson (Industry), Spike Fearn (Aftersun), y Aileen Wu.
The project is described as “an original independent feature film.” The plot is set between the timeline of Alien (1979) by Ridley Scott, and the sequel Aliens (1986) by James Cameron.
An important fact about this new film is that unlike the other installments that focused on adults in corporate, military and scientific roles, this ninth installment of the franchise will focus on a group of young peopleThey are playing children of members of the terraform colony that inhabited the planetoid LV-426, which is involved in problems in Aliens.

SYNOPSIS:

Alvarez co-wrote the script with his frequent collaborator Rodo Sayagues (remake Evil Dead, Don’t Breathe, Don’t Breathe 2remake Texas Chainsaw Massacre), and produced the feature film in company of Ridley Scottdirector of the original classic and the prequels Prometheus y Alien: Covenant.
The original classic Alien Ridley Scott's 1979 film ended with a shot of protagonist Sigourney Weaver ejecting a Xenomorph from its escape pod before being put into a cryogenic sleep that would return her to human civilization. The sequel, Aliens Cameron's 1986 film picked up the plot years later, as Ripley accompanied a military mission investigating a possible Xenomorph attack on a remote space colony.
Alien: Romulus It will be released in theaters on August 16, 2024 via 20th Century Studios. It will be the first installment of the saga Alien to be distributed by Disney.
