Hawkins is in danger in the second official trailer of the fifth and final season from the popular Netflix series, Stranger Things.
Stranger Things 5of the Duffer Brothersbegins after the events of the fourth season, after Vecna left Max in a coma and with the arrival of the Upside Down to Hawkins. The villain's plans to destroy the barrier between the Upside Down and the real worldbecame reality at the conclusion of Stranger Things 4.
In the trailer, which is accompanied by Queen's “Who Wants to Live Forever,” it makes clear that Vecna is determined to invade the real world, and what is at stake for the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana: the end of everything. Eleven and her friends must find Vecna and begin one last epic battle.
The preview also shows the Demogorgons destroying the soldiers who quarantined Hawkins, and Lucas holding a still-comatose Max in a hospital elevator as a ferocious Demogorgon dog pounces on them. Elsewhere, Eleven and Hopper appear to be fighting their own battle in the Upside Down, while Mike watches Joyce distraught over her son Will.
In the final moments of the trailer, Vecna—standing on a burning military base, littered with dead soldiers—levitates an incapacitated Will toward him. “William,” he says in a somber voice, “you're going to help me…one last time.”
It was previously said that for the last season's story, Will Byers' character would become the center of the plot, probably thus closing the cycle that started it all. Remembering that it was the disappearance of little Will that unleashed chaos in Hawkins in the first season.
In the fourth season, Will regained some prominence, guiding the story toward its imminent conclusion.

Will is used to being the young one, the introvert, the one being protected. So part of his journey, it's not just sexuality, it's Will becoming a young man.”
