Ingredients
2 cups of cornmeal
1 cup wheat flour
2 cups of sugar
3 eggs
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup oil
1 tablespoon powdered yeast
200g of guava in pieces
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a round mold with butter and flour.
- In a large bowl, mix the cornmeal, wheat flour and sugar.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs lightly and add the milk and oil.
Mix well. - Add the egg, milk, and oil mixture to the bowl with the dry ingredients.
Stir until you get a homogeneous mass. - Add the baking powder and mix gently.
- Put half the dough in the prepared form and distribute pieces of guava paste over it.
Cover with the remaining dough. - Place in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 40-50 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool before unmolding.
