With the end of the year, and the beginning of a new one, come the film and television lists. Many of them recount the best and worst of 2024, and another, like the one Fandango shares with us, lists the Top 10 of the most anticipated films of 2025.

Tom Cruise reprises his role as Ethan Hunt, in the eighth film, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoningwritten and directed by Christopher McQuarrie.
The all-star cast includes the returns of Simon Pegg, Henry Czerny, Ving Rhames, Pom Klementieff, Hayley Atwell, Vanessa Kirby, Esai Moralesy Angela Bassettand the additions of Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso), Nick Offerman (The Last of Us), Katy O’Brian (Twisters), Tramell Tillman (Severance), y Janet McTeer (Ozark).

JURASSIC WORLD REBIRTH
Universal Pictures will reboot the franchise Jurassic Worldwith the new delivery Jurassic World Rebirthwhich will mark “a new Jurassic era”, with a completely new story.
Gareth Edwards (The Creator, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) directs the script of David Koepp (Jurassic Park, Jurassic Park: The Lost World), con Scarlett Johansson a role principal.
Jurassic World Rebirth It takes place five years after the events of Jurassic World: Dominion (2022).

FROM THE WORLD OF JOHN WICK: BALLERINA
Ana de Armas stars Ballerinathe spinoff of the franchise John Wickfrom Lionsgate, directed by the director Len Wiseman (Underworldreboot Total Recall).
In the action thriller, de Armas plays Rooney, a Ruska Roma dancer who seeks revenge against a group of hitmen who murdered her family. The plot is set between the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum y John Wick: Chapter 4focusing on the assassin who only made a brief appearance in Chapter 3 and was originally performed by Unity Phelan.

THE FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS
The Fantastic Four join Marvel Studios' MCU, with the reboot Fantastic Four: First Steps of the director Matt Shakman (Wandavision).
Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn y Ebon Moss-Bachrach They make up the main cast.
The reboot will set its plot in the 1960s, a time when writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby first introduced the Fantastic Four, the super team that launched the Marvel Universe in comics.

AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH
The franchise Avatar of James Cameron and Disney, will launch the third installment officially titled Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Previously, Cameron announced that Avatar 3 will feature a more antagonistic race of Na'vi. Franchise producer Jon Landau told Empire Magazine in early 2024 that the group is the Ash People, described by the publication as “an aggressive volcanic race” of Na'vi whose leader is Varang, played by Charlie Chaplin's granddaughter, Oona Chaplin (Game of Thrones).
Release in theaters: December 19.

WICKED: FOR GOOD
In recent days, Universal Pictures revealed that Wicked: For Goodis the official title of the second part of the adaptation of the musical.
The title is a direct reference to a musical theme that will be performed as a duet by Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and Glinda (Ariana Grande), in which they both sing about their relationship as enemies that has affected their lives forever.
The first delivery, Wicked: Part Itells the story of how a green-skinned young woman is framed by the Wizard of Oz and becomes the Wicked Witch of the West.
Release in theaters: November 21.

THE ACCOUNTANT 2
Ben Affleck will once again step into the shoes of Christian Wolff, a highly qualified chartered accountant with autism who leads a double life as a forensic accountant for criminal organizations in the sequel. The Accountant 2.
The new installment will have the returns of Affleck, Jon Bernthal, J.K. Simmons y Cynthia Addai-Robinsonand those of the director Gavin O’Connorand the screenwriter Bill Dubuque.
The plot begins when Medina's former boss (Addai-Robinson) is murdered by unknown persons and she is forced to contact Christian (Affleck) to solve the murder. With the help of his estranged but deadly brother Brax (Bernthal), Chris applies his brilliant mind and less-than-legal methods to piece together the unsolved puzzle. As they get closer to the truth, the trio attracts the attention of some of the world's most ruthless killers, all determined to end their search.

The renewed DCU of Warner Bros., under the mandate of James Gunn y Peter Safranit will start with Superman by Gunn, y David Corenswet (Pearl, Hollywood) playing Clark Kent/Superman.
The cast includes Rachel Brosnahan (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult (Juror No. 2) as Lex Luthor, Nathan Fillion (The Rookie) as Green Lantern, Isabela Merced (Alien: Romulus) as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi (For All Mankind) as Mr. Terrific.
Christopher Reeve's son, Will Reevewill have a cameo in the film playing a television reporter.

28 YEARS LATER
Sony Pictures launched a new trilogy of its zombie franchise, which will follow the events of 28 Days Later y 28 Weeks Later.
The first of the deliveries is 28 Years Laterwhich has the return of Danny Boyle as director, and that of Alex Garland as a screenwriter.
The cast is made up Jodie Comer (Killing Eve), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Nosferatu), Ralph Fiennes (The Menu), y Jack O’Connell (Back to Black), y Cillian Murphy reprising his role as Jim, the protagonist of the original 2002 installment. Murphy is also one of the executive producers.
In the zombie sequel, “It has been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped from a bioweapons laboratory and now, even in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist among the infected.”
Release in theaters: June 20.
