The Actor Awards, formerly known as SAG, reveal nominations: 'One Battle After Another' and 'The Studio' lead

The nominations of the SAG Awards 2026 have just been revealed by SAG-AFTRA.

It is important to remember that, last November, the Screen Actors Guild Awardsbetter known as the SAG, changed their name to The Actor Awards o Actor Awards.

The change comes after 30 years, since the awards were presented in 1995, with the aim of helping the global audience quickly identify the nature of the award being presented.

Moving on to the nominations for the 32nd edition, presented by Janelle James and Connor Storrie in a livestream on the Netflix YouTube channel, the cinematographic sector is led by One Battle After Another with 7 candidatesincluding Best Cast and Best Stunt Cast.

The horror thriller Sinners follows with 5 nominations, Frankenstein, Hamnet y Marty Supreme with 3 for each one.

Frankenstein, Hamnet, Marty Supreme, One Battle After Anothery Sinners They make up the category for Best Cast, the biggest award of the award ceremony.

In the television sector, The Studio leads with 5 nominations; they follow him Adolescence y The White Lotus with four for each one.

The nominees for Best Comedy Series are audience favorites like Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Hacks, Only Murders in the Buildingy The Studio.

The nominees for Best Drama Series are The Diplomat, Landman, The Pitt, Severance y The White Lotus.

In addition to competitive prizes, Harrison Ford will receive the lifetime achievement award this year.

Regarding the rebranding of the award's name last November, Jon Brockett, showrunner and executive producer of The Actor Awardsexplained (via official site): “From the beginning, our statuette has been called 'The Actor' and we are a show dedicated exclusively to actors, so This new name represents a perfect step forward in its evolution. The Actors Awards, presented by SAG-AFTRA, allow viewers in more than 190 countries to immediately understand who we are and what we do.”

The Actor Awards 2026 will take place Sunday March 1 from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA., and will be broadcast on Netflix worldwide.
