Ramblings or grumbles aside, the thing is that Marie and Lionel invited the successor to From movie – made in partnership with Laurent Garnier – not one, but several musical figures, making it almost an album of duets.
Bobby Gillespie, Jon Spencerthe handsome Bertrand Belin (called the French 'Nick Cave' hahaha), Pascal Comelade and the (at least to me) illustrious unknowns Rover, Penny and Ana Jean joined the badass couple in seven of the thirteen songs on Faded, each seasoning in their own way the duo's already well-known and tasty psychedelic-garage-dark-french pop sauce. Add a stoned version of the beautiful “Où va la chance” by the late Françoise Hardy to complete the package and voila.
