New day, new shift, new season and… new chaos.

HBO Max shared the official trailer for the second season from the Emmy-winning series, The Pitt ahead of its return to the small screen in January 2026.

For its second season, the acclaimed medical drama from the creator and showrunner R. Scott Gemmill, will set its plot during the 4th of July celebrationand as we can see in the snapshot below, we will not be short of accidents and craziness on the emergency room day shift.

Led by Noah Wyle like Dr. Robby, The series is described as a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare professionals in America today.seen through the perspective of those on the front lines inside a Pittsburgh hospital.

Apparently, Dr. Robby will have some differences with one of the new additions of the season, Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi played by Sepideh Moafi (Black Bird, Class of ’09, The L Word: Generation Q), a GP on call in the ER, from the Veterans Hospital, where she previously worked with audience favorite Dr Mel King (Taylor Dearden) and Dr Samira Mohan (Supriya Ganesh).

The plot takes us on the first day back of Dr. Frank Langdon (Patrick Ball) after completing the rehabilitation program he attended after his addiction to benzodiazepines was discovered.

Gemmill explained that the mental health of Dr. Robby, who developed post-traumatic stress during COVID, will also be addressed.
