The Oscar winner, Halle Berryis preparing a handful of projects for film and television.
One of the feature films that are in development right now, and that attracts the most attention, is the political thriller, The President is Missingbased on the successful best-selling novel written by Bill Clinton –yes, that Clinton– and James Patterson, according to Deadline reports.
Berry will star in the film as President Joanna Duncan, in a gender change from the character in the book.

The film is being written by Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy) y David Chasteen (CIA).
In The President is Missing:
“When a terrorist threatens an attack so deadly it will return America to the dark ages, the only person who can stop him is President Joanna Duncan (Berry). But first she must elude her own secret service and escape the confines of the White House in a bid to save the world single-handedly.”
RK Films is another production company, along with Berry's HalleHolly and Holly Jeter.
The producers are Berry, Jeter, Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum, Bill Clinton, and James Patterson. Bill Robinson and Zack Roth are executive producers.
The novel written by Clinton and Patterson, published in 2018, has sold more than 475 million copies, and reached number one on the New York Times. Initially, the authors wanted to adapt it into a film, but then the novel was acquired by Showtime who ordered a pilot. Production on the episode was eventually interrupted by the pandemic.
Berry's most recent projects include science fiction Moonfall (2022), action comedy The Union (2024), and the supernatural horror thriller Never Let Go (2024). The actress won the Oscar for best actress in a leading role for Monster’s Ball (2001). In a few more weeks, we will see her in the cinema at the premiere of the thriller Crime 101where he shares the lead role with Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo and Barry Keoghan.
