The streamer Paramount+ will premiere the psychological thriller at the end of September Apartment 7Aa prequel to the horror classic Rosemary’s Baby (1968) by Roman Polanski.

The plot It is set in New York City in the year 1965.y tells us the story before the horror classic Rosemary’s Babyexploring what happened in the apartment before Rosemary moved in.

The prequel is written and directed by Natalie Erika James (Relic), and starring Julia Garner (Ozark).

SYNOPSIS:

“When a struggling young dancer (Julia Garner) suffers a devastating injury, she finds herself drawn to dark forces when a quirky and well-connected older partner promises her a shot at fame.”

“Dancer Terry Gionoffrio dreams of fame and fortune in New York City, but after suffering a devastating injury, she is welcomed into their home in the luxurious Bramford apartment building. When her fellow resident and influential Broadway producer offers her another shot at fame, it seems all her dreams are finally coming true. However, after a night she can’t fully remember, disturbing circumstances soon have her questioning the sacrifices she’s willing to make for her career when she realizes something evil lives not only in Apartment 7A, but in Bramford itself.”

In addition to Garner, the main cast includes Dianne Wiest (Mayor of Kingstown), Jim Sturgess (One Day), y Kevin McNally (Pirates of the Caribbean). Other cast members include Marli Siu (Everything I Know About Love), Andrew Buchan (All the Money in the World), Rosy McEwen (Blue Jean), y The fatal Holdbrook-Smith (Wonka).

The Paramount film earned the R rating by “Some violent content and drug use.”

It is based on the novel Rosemary’s Baby by Ira Levin. The story was written by Skylar Jameswith a script by Natalie Erika James, Christian Whiteand Skylar James.
