“There are a lot of chase sequences a la Scream 2” – Cine3.com

Waiting for Paramount Pictures to start the marketing campaign for the next installment of the slasher saga Screamwhich for now we refer to as Scream 6we continue to obtain small proofs of what we will see on the big screen with the sixth installment, based on statements from the cast of the film.

In past days, Jenna Ortega (X, Wednesday), talked about looking forward to seeing a movie “with a lot of action and a lot of gore,” and now, while walking the red carpet at the Celebration of Latino Cinema & Television at LA’s Fairmont Century Plaza, hosted by The Critics Choice Association, in whose second edition paid tribute to figures such as Guillermo del Toro, Alejandro González Iñárritu, and Ortega, among others, the young actress shared more information about Scream 6and the action sequences that remind him of Scream 2:

“I’m very excited because there are so many great chase sequences. Kind of reminiscent of… Scream 2… there’s a chase between Gale and Ghostface through the lab [de la universidad]. I feel like we have a lot of things like that in the second [película].”

Scream 6 is in charge of the co-directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin y Tyler Gillett (Scream 2022, Ready Or Not). The film has on board the return of the survivors of the Ghostface attacks on Scream 5: Melissa Barrera (Keep Breathing), Jasmin Savoy Brown (Yellowjackets), Mason Gooding (Fall) y Ortegareprising their roles as Sam Carpenter, the twins Mindy and Chad Meeks-Martin, and Tara Carpenter, respectively.

Paramount has a big screen release set by March 10, 2023.

With plot details yet to be revealed, this is Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media’s description of Scream 6:

“It continues with the four survivors of the murders of Ghostface as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a new chapter.”

This new setting away from Woodsboro is about nothing more, and nothing less, What of New York City!where Gale Weathers resides as we saw in Scream 5.

• This isn’t the first time Ghostface has hunted his victims outside of Woodsboro, as he Scream 2 moved us to Windsor College in Ohio, but if this is the first time the production has been done outside of the United States.

The only member of the original trio confirmed to Scream 6 es Courteney Cox, reprising his role as Gale Weathers. We previously shared some awesome trivia about Cox and Scream 6and it is that his participation in the most recent sequel, leads her to mark history in horror movies as the first time a woman has played a character that appears in six consecutive films in a horror franchise.

The cast will also feature the return of the audience’s favorite from Scream 4, Hayden Panettiere como Kirby Reed. They will also be Dermot Mulroney, Jack Champion (Avatar: The Way of Water), Liana Liberato (The Best of Me), Nine Nekoda (Ginny & Georgia), Josh Segarra (She-Hulk, Arrow), Henry Czerny (Ready Or Not, Mission: Impossible), Tony Revolori (Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: No Way Home), y Samara Weaving (Ready or Not, The Babysitter).

The script is in charge of James Vanderbilt y Guy Busickco-writers of Scream 5. Kevin Williamsonscreenwriter of the original saga, and Chad Villella of Radio Silence, return as executive producers alongside Peter Oillataguerre, and Spyglass’s Gary Barber, and Ron Lynch, Cathy Konrad, and Marianne Maddalena. Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein, and Project X’s William Sherak serve as producers.

The film wrapped up shooting in early September in Montreal, Canada.
