We are two weeks away from the release in theaters of the horror thriller Trapthe latest from M. Night Shyamalan (Knock at the Cabin, The Sixth Sense, Glass), titled The trap in our market.

The film stars Josh Hartnett (Oppenheimer, Pearl Harbor), like a father taking his daughter to the Lady Raven concert (Shyamalan), only to discover something much more sinister happening once inside the premises.

The evening starts off with excitement, until Hartnett's character notices the presence of numerous police officers, who surround the packed arena and set up surveillance equipment. This couldn't be a Shyamalan movie without a major turn of events, and as we've seen in the trailers shared by Warner Bros.it is revealed that Hartnett's character is actually the serial killer the police are looking for and the concert is a set-up to catch him.

Through a post shared on Twitter/X, Shyamalan explains how Hartnett was hired for Trap:

“Fun fact: When I was thinking about casting Trap as the lead, Josh Hartnett came to visit me in Ireland where he was producing The Watchers. We had lunch, and talked about Oppenheimer, Black Mirror, living away from Hollywood, and being dads of three daughters each… and I knew he was the one.”
