Universal Pictures dominates the BAFTA 2025 nominations

On Wednesday morning, British Academy of Film and Television Arts (British Academy Film Awards; BAFTA) revealed the complete list of the nominees for edition 78 of the BAFTA Awardwith the drama Conclave by Edward Berger emerging as the leader with 12 nominations.

And if we had to declare a studio the winner of the nominations, it would be Universal Pictures/Focus Features that prevailed over any other studio and streamer with 32 nominations in totalthanks to The Brutalist (9 nominations), Anora y Wicked (7 nominations for each one), Nosferatu (5), The Wild Robot (3), y Monkey Man (1).

Its closest competition is Netflix, with 16 nominations. 11 of them for controversy Emilia Perez.
