3 cups of wheat flour
2 cups of sugar
1 cup of milk
3/4 cup melted butter
4 eggs
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
A bit of salt
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease and flour a cake pan.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar and baking powder.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs lightly. Add the milk, melted butter, vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Mix well.
- Pour the liquid mixture into the flour and sugar mixture. Stir gently until all ingredients are well incorporated. Do not overmix to avoid making the cake heavy.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, you can decorate the cake with icing, powdered sugar, or simply serve as is.
