The Brazilian fans who were waiting for Gabriel Bortoleto to shine at the Formula 1 United States GP, this Sunday (19), ended the race frustrated. The Brazilian from Sauber had a difficult race without any major highlights, finishing only in 18th place in Austin.

Unlike the majority of the grid, which bet on one stop, the Swiss team called Bortoleto early for the first pit stop and forced him to pit once again, in a strategy that proved disastrous and left him far from any fight for points.
The Brazilian's P18 only came after overtaking Pierre Gasly's Alpine and the abandonment of Carlos Sainz (Ferrari), who was taken out of the race after a touch from young Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes).

The Circuit of the Americas (Cota), in Austin, capital of Texas, is considered a new racetrack. It opened in 2010 and debuted in F1 two years later, in the 2012 season. Cota replaced the Indianapolis circuit in the category.
Lewis Hamilton is the biggest winner of the United States GP (considering all races held in the country), with six victories. After him comes Michael Schumacher, with five. The Briton has not won the race since 2017. Among the teams, the biggest winner is Ferrari, which has accumulated 11 victories.
