What Happens at Night celebrates the beginning of its production by sharing the first official look to the next film project Martin Scorsese con Apple.
Scorsese kicked off his signature film Apple Original Filmsshowing the first image of the protagonists, the Oscar winners, Leonardo DiCaprio y Jennifer Lawrencewho play an American couple who travel to a small, snowy European town to adopt a baby.
And it is precisely this setting in which we see DiCaprio and Lawrence, both standing in front of an old car in a freezing place. And from what the car and its costumes let us see, the story will take place many decades ago, probably in the 1950s.
The cast also includes Patricia Clarkson (Sharp Objects), Mads Mikkelsen (Another Round) like Brother Emmanuel, and Jared Harris (Chernobyl).

Scorsese directs the script written by Patrick Marber (Closer, Notes on a Scandal), which adapts the novel by Peter Cameron.
Apple Studios is financing the project, and producing it together with Studiocanal. The latter acquired the rights to Peter Cameron's novel.
THE STORY IN MORE DETAIL
What Happens at Night is a dreamlike story that follows an American couple on a trip to a small, snowy European town to adopt a baby. They stay in a cavernous, virtually deserted hotel, where they encounter an enigmatic cast of characters, including a flamboyant singer, a depraved businessman, and a charismatic healer. Nothing is as it seems in this strange and icy world. As the couple fights to get their baby back, they seem to know less and less about themselves and the life they have built together.

It is a new collaboration between the filmmaker and DiCaprio. It will be his first film since Killers of the Flower Moonanother Apple Original Films production.
It is the first association between Scorsese and Lawrence, and a new one between Lawrence and DiCaprio, after being part of Don’t Look Up (2021) by Adam McKay.
