Big news for legal drama fans White Collar. According to statements from the creator of the show, Jeff Eastinit is officially confirmed that a reboot is in development with the return of the protagonists, Matt Bomer, Tim DeKayy Tiffany Thiessen.

These were Eastin's statements collected by Variety at the TV Fest held by the media:

“Let's restart. “I’m writing the script.”

Eastin was joined on the panel by Bomer, Thiese, and DeKay. The latter added:

“It's a fantastic script and answers all the questions one would have if they watched the show. And it would also introduce the series to those who haven't seen it. Both edges of the sword are sharp.”

The reboot is expected to pay tribute to Willie Garson, who played Mozzie in the original series. Garson passed away in 2021.

About this, Thiesen explained:

“With so much sensitivity and so much heart,” Thiessen said of the incorporated tribute. “I told Jeff after we finished it that she was literally so emotional, but at the same time she had tears in her eyes, for good reason. You captured the suspense, the emotion, the characters and the love in that reboot.”

It has not been revealed on which network or streamer the reboot will air. There is speculation that it could end up on Hulu, as 20th Television owns the rights to the original series. White Collar was produced by Fox TV Studios for USA Networks.

The original series revolves around a white-collar criminal who agrees to help the FBI catch other white-collar criminals using his experience as an art and securities thief, forger, and con artist.
