Zendaya and Robert Pattinson hug each other in a look at A24's 'The Drama'

The rom-com The Dramacordially invites you to witness a lot of wedding chaos.

The independent film studio film A24stars two audience favorites, Zendaya y Robert Pattinsonplaying an engaged couple in big trouble before the big day.

The reason for them has not been revealed in the promotional material, but we can deduce trouble in paradise from before the wedding day.

The latest in the marketing campaign is a new official image focused on both protagonists (via USATODAY). Take a look at the end of the note.

SYNOPSIS:

“Days before their wedding, a couple's relationship is shaken when one of them discovers disturbing truths about the other.”

The project is written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli (Dream Scenario).

The cast also includes Alana Haim (One Battle After Another), Mamoudou Athie (Archive 81), Michael Abbott Jr. (Killers of the Flower Moon), Hailey Gates (Marty Supreme), Sydney Lemmon (Warehouse), y Zoe Winters (Materialists).

A24 will premiere The Drama in April 2026, and will be the first of three films in which Zendaya and Pattinson will share the big screen next year. After the launch of The DramaWe will see you again in The Odyssey by Christopher Nolan, on July 17, and again in Dune: Part Three by Denis Villeneuve, with Zendaya reprising her role as Chani, and Pattinson making his debut in the franchise, scheduled for release on December 18.

The project is financed and produced by A24. Ari Aster (Hereditary, Midsummer) is producing it with his company Square Peg, with Lars Knudsen and Tyler Campellone as other producers.

• The Drama marks a new collaboration between A24 and Borgli, after the studio distributed Dream Scenario in 2023, and a new collaboration between Borgli and Square Peg, after he produced Dream Scenario.
• It is also another collaboration between A24 and Aster's Square Peg (Hereditary, Midsommar, Death of Unicorn).

The Drama It is Borgli's fourth feature film, and his second in English.

Zendaya and Pattinson are two actors in great demand in the Hollywood industry. On the one hand, the actress, who had multiple film premieres in 2024 (Challengers, Dune: Part Two), has dedicated 2025 to filming many others, such as the third season of Euphoria, The Odyssey de Christopher Nolan, Spider-Man: Brand New Dayy Dune: Part Threeall of them scheduled for release in 2026, and is filming Shrek 5lending her voice to Fiona and Shrek's daughter.
