Vertical Entertainment has revealed the first official trailer for its film A Sacrificea crime thriller starring Eric Bana (The Time Traveler’s Wife) y Sadie Sink (Stranger Things).
The preview features Bana as a psychologist investigating a cult linked to a mass suicide, unaware that his daughter is starting to be targeted by the group.
Jordan Scott (Cracks) is the screenwriter and director of the feature film. The filmmaker is the daughter of Ridley Scott (Alien, Gladiator), who is involved as a producer on the project. The film is based on the novel Tokyo Nobody by Nicholas Hogg.
SYNOPSIS:
“A Sacrifice is an emotionally turbulent story that follows American social psychologist Ben Monroe, who investigates a local Berlin cult linked to disturbing events. While immersed in his work, his rebellious teenage daughter, Mazzy, becomes involved with a mysterious local boy that introduces her to the city's underground party scene. As their two worlds head toward a dangerous intersection, Ben will have to race against the clock to save his daughter.
The cast is headed by To me, Sink, Jonas Dassley (Work without author), Sylvia Hoeks (See, Blade Runner 2049), Sophie Rois (Barbarians, The Prelude), Stephan Kampwirth (Dark) y Lara Feith (Luft).
Ridley Scott, Michael Pruss, Jonas Katzenstein, Maximilian Leo, and Georgina Pope are producers, with Bana, Jonathan Saubach, Justin Alvarado-Brown, Kenji Isomura, Céline Dornier, and Frédéric Fiore serving as executive producers.
The film will reach select US theaters June 28.
