Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 cup of wheat flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/4 cup milk

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • Sugar and cinnamon for sprinkling

  • Frying oil

Directions

  • In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until they form a puree.
  • Add the egg and milk to the mashed banana and mix well.
  • Then add the sugar, wheat flour, baking powder and pinch of salt to the liquid mixture.
  • Stir until all the ingredients are well combined and the dough is smooth.
  • In a deep saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat.
  • Make sure the oil is hot enough to fry the dumplings, but not so hot that it burns.
  • Using a tablespoon  take portions of the dough and carefully place them in the hot oil.
  • Fry the dumplings until evenly golden brown, turning them occasionally to ensure they cook on all sides.
  • Once the dumplings are ready, remove them from the pan and place them on paper towels to drain the excess oil.
  • Then sprinkle the still-warm cupcakes with sugar mixed with cinnamon, providing an irresistible flavor.
  • Serve the banana fritters while still warm and enjoy!
