Apple Original Film has announced that the much talked about Formula 1 project, led by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick, Oblivion), and starring Brad Pittis officially titled F1.
Additionally, a teaser poster was revealed and it was revealed that an exclusive first trailer will be shown this weekend, during the British Grand Prix on Sunday, July 7.
Warner Bros. agreed with Apple to be the distributor of the film, and set the release date for June 25, 2025 in the international market –including Mexico and the rest of Latin America– and the June 27 in the United States and Canada.
In F1, Pitt plays a former driver who returns to Formula 1, alongside his teammate played by Damson Idris (Snowfall), in APXGP, a fictional team on the grid. The film will be shot during real Grand Prix weekends, as the team competes against the titans of the sport.
The cast includes Oscar nominee, Kerry Condon (The Banshees of Inisherin), to the Oscar winner, Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men), to Emmy Award winner, Tobias Menzies (The Crown), to the Emmy Award nominee Sarah Niles (Ted Lasso), Kim Bodnia (Killing Eve), Callie Cooke (Cheaters), y You are Samson (Our Flag Means Death).
Kosinski directs the script for Ehren Kruger (Top Gun: Maverick, The Ring).
Kosinski produces the feature alongside Jerry Bruckheimer, Chad Oman, Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, and Lewis HamiltonThe project is being carried out in collaboration with Formula 1 and the wider F1 community, including all 10 F1 teams and their drivers, the FIA and race promoters.
