Greg McLeandirector of titles such as Wolf Creek, Wolf Creek 2, The Belko Experiment y Jungleis already preparing his next horror project. It is titled The First Exorcistand it will be from the supernatural horror subgenre.
According to Deadline reports, Filming will take place next year in Victoria, Australia.
The outlet describes the horror and exorcism project as “a fascinating fusion of religious and supernatural events set in biblical times.”
Mark Fennessy's Helium and McLean's Emu Creek Pictures are producing. Casting is next.
The first synopsis was also shared:
“A mother embarks on a harrowing quest to save her daughter from demonic possession. As their lives spiral into a nightmare, the mother learns of a mysterious healer with the power to cast out demons and embarks on a dangerous race against time, encountering hostile Roman authorities on her perilous mission to find the healer.”
This will be the first film McLean has directed since the biographical survival thriller Jungle (2017), starring Daniel Radcliffe.
Mark Fennessy of Helium shares in a press release:

The media adds that: “The plan is to use cutting-edge virtual production technology in Victoria to bring epic ancient cities and locations to life.”
