After a long wait, the acclaimed western series Yellowstone from the creator Taylor Sheridanwill return to our screens with the Part 2 of Season 5which will mark the end of the series.
The first teaser trailer was released this morning. The trailer titled “Generations”in which we take brief and quick glances at the family drama that is coming our way in a couple of months, is available at the end of this note.
The Paramount Network original series premiered its first season in 2018, following the Dutton family as they attempt to defend their land in Montana. After four seasons, highly acclaimed by critics and audiences, Yellowstone returned with a fifth season in November 2022.
To the surprise of many, including the protagonist himself, Kevin Costnerseason 5 was split into two parts. Part 2, which is the one they are filming right now, will serve as the conclusion of the series.following several production delays and behind-the-scenes complications between Costner and Sheridan.
The Part 2 of T5 of Yellowstone will be released on November 10, 2024 on the Paramount Network. It has not yet been specified how many episodes Part 2 will consist of. Part 1 had eight episodes in total. Paramount has not officially said whether Costner will return to reprise his role as patriarch John Dutton.
KEVIN COSTNER NO REGRESA A YELLOWSTONE
Costner left Yellowstone because the long development process for each season of the series, and the delays in this one, prevented him from working on other projects in a given year. This is in line with previous reports that Costner's role in Yellowstonewere impacting their ability to work on their passion project, Horizon: An American Saga. Costner's film series will consist of four films in total. He is currently in production on the third installment.
And although the actor was open to the possibility of returning for the end of the series and being able to bring closure to his character's story, in recent weeks he himself took it upon himself to clear up any doubts about his return as John Dutton in a post made on Instagram, in which he explained:
“I want to reach out to you and let you know that after this long year and a half working on Horizon and doing everything necessary, and Thinking about Yellowstone, that beloved series that I love, that I know you all love, I just realized that I'm not going to be able to continue with Season 5B or in the future. It was something that really changed me. I loved it. And I know you loved it. And I just wanted to let you know that I'm not going back and I love the relationship that we've been able to develop, and I'll see you in the movies.”
The series stars Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, y Brecken Merrill.
All seasons of Yellowstoneincluding Part 1 of Season 5, are available for streaming on Paramount Plus in Mexico and the rest of Latin America.
