Lapintet “Yoruninaru” (Crying in the Night) – it always hurts a little when you discover a band that is new to you, only to find out that they broke up years ago and only left behind a handful of songs. That's what happened recently with this Japanese quartet, whose song «Yoruninaru (Rings at night)» is one of my hits of the year. However, it is from 2017… But I haven't heard such great indie rock for a long time – wonderfully catchy chorus and crispy guitars. All the singles I've heard from them so far are great, but unfortunately the band hasn't existed for at least 4 years, which is a shame. At least you can still buy the EPs digitally on iTunes.
Loveninjas «Tomorrow» – also seemingly gone was this Swedish band, which became known through the Labrador label and was off the air for many years. But now they are back with a very stylish indie pop single.
