The popular – and sometimes controversial – series The Boys from the creator and showrunner Erik Kripke y Prime Video, is preparing everything for the fifth and final season.

The most recent news confirms the signing of Daveed Diggs in the final season, according to reports from Variety. The details of the role played by the actor have not been detailed at the moment, although It is known that it will be a regular role.

Last June, weeks before the finale of the fourth season aired, it was announced that The Boys will say goodbye with the fifth season.

Diggs joins the return of Karl Urban like Butcher, Anthoy Starr like Homelander, Erin Moriarty like Annie/Starlight, Jack Quaid like Hughie, Jessie T. Usher like A-Train, Laz Alonso como MM, Chace Crawford como The Deep, Tomer Capone like Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara like Kimiko, and Cameron Crovetti Like Ryan.

Diggs was one of the revelations of theater thanks to his double role as Thomas Jefferson and Marquis de Lafayette in the acclaimed Broadway play, Hamiltonfor which he won the Tony Award in 2016. In film he had outstanding performances in Blindspotting (2018), Wonder (2017), Velvet Buzzsaw (2019) y Nickel Boys (2014).

Stars in the series Snowpiercerand has had roles in other series such as The Good Lord Bird from Showtime, The Get Down, Undone, Black-ishin addition to having co-created and been executive producer of the series Blindspottingwhich served as a sequel to the film of the same name that starred and co-written by Diggs.
