NEON revealed the official trailer for the horror thriller Presence of Steven Soderbergh. The project is presented with an innovative proposal for a ghost story and is evident in the trailer: the story is told from the point of view of the supernatural entity.

The camera work looks spectacular in the preview, with uninterrupted shots, and the presence sliding through every room of the house.

Presence addresses a ghost story that revolves around a family of four, who move into a haunted house after a real estate agent convinces them that it is the perfect property.

The cast is headed by Lucy Liu (A Man in Full, Elementary), Julia Fox (No Sudden Moves, Uncut Gems), Chris Sullivan (This Is Us), Eddy Madayy Callina Liang (Foundation, Bad Genius).

Soderbergh directs the script David Kopp (Jurassic Park, Mission: Impossible). The filmmaker is also the director of photography and editor.

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:

“A family moves into a suburban house and becomes convinced they are not alone.”

Presence It celebrated its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January of this year.

Soderbergh has directed projects such as Sex, Lies and Videotape, Out of Sight, Erin Brockovich, Ocean’s Eleven, Traffic, Magic Mike, Contagion.

In 2025, another Soderbergh film will also be released, the spy project Black Bagwith a script written by Koepp (his third collaboration with Soderbergh after Like y Presence). This film stars Cate Blanchett, Michael Fassbender, Regé-Jean Page and Pierce Brosnan. It will hit theaters on March 14.

Presence opens in theaters on January 24, 2025.
