On the morning of this Monday, December 9, 2024, the list of all nominees in film and television categories was revealed, corresponding to the 82nd edition of the Golden Globes.
Los Golden Globes 2025 will have an expanded number of nominees in the 27 categories, increasing from five to six. Additionally, the two new categories previously introduced at the 2024 ceremony, best stand-up comedian on television and film and box office achievement, continue in this edition. Barbie by Greta Gerwig won for best cinematographic and box office achievement at the gala that took place in January of this year.
Film nominations are led by Emilia Perez with 10 candidates, they follow The Brutalist con 7, Conclave con 6, Anora y The Substance with 5 for each one, Wicked, Challengers, The Wild Robot y A Real Pain with 4 for each one, A Complete Unknown with 3, and Dune: Part Two con 2.
In the television sector, The Bear continues to dominate with the highest number of nominations (5); they follow him Only Murders in the Building y Shogun with 4 candidates for each one, the rom-com sensation Nobody Wants This made its debut at the award show with 3 nominations, the same amount for Baby Reindeer, Disclaimery Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story for each one. And the surprise of the day was marked by the second season of Squid Game getting a nomination for best drama series, despite the fact that its second season will not premiere until the end of December on Netflix.

- Emilia Perez It is the comedy/musical with the most Golden Globe nominations in the entire history of the award show.

- Sebastian Stan is a double nominee for best actor in a comedy/musical film (A Different Man) and a drama film (The Apprentice).

- Selena Gómez is also a double nominee for her role in the film Emilia Pérez, and her role in the series Only Murders in the Building.
The Golden Globes ceremony will be hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser, and will be broadcast live on Sunday, January 5, 2025 on CBS in the United States, and streaming on Paramount+. In Mexico it will be broadcast by TNT and Max. The appointment is at 7:00 pm (Central Mexico time).
