Miki Berenyi Trio Vertigo – oops, somehow this song, which was released last May, went completely under my radar at the time. It's something special when Miki Berenyi (Lush / Piroshka) starts a new band, especially with a former member of Moose. Their first (and so far unfortunately only) single on Bella Union is this wonderful song, which of course brings to mind the golden Lush times, but still not only sounds like nostalgia, but also has something modern about it. I hope there will be more to come soon.
Mary And The Sharks «Prophecy» – a chance discovery is this indie pop artist, whose current single is extremely easy on the ears.
