The project marks the fifth collaboration between Coogler and Jordan, after the actor was put under the orders of the filmmaker in Fruitvale Station (2013), Creed (2015), Black Panther (2018) y Black Pather: Wakanda Forever (2022). It is also the fifth feature film directed by Coogler.
