Lionsgate will venture to another adaptation of the literary material of Stephen Kingafter the premiere of The Long Walkscheduled for next September.

The study will be associated with JT Mollner (Strange Darling), screenwriter The Long Walkfor Write and direct film adaptation of The Girl Who Loved Tom GordonKing's novel published in 1999, according to THR reports.

The novel tells the heartbreaking story of Survival of Trisha, a nine -year -old girl, who struggles to survive after getting lost in the forest. With only his Walkman radio reproducing baseball matches to be company him, the girl's love for pitcher Tom Gordon begins to demonstrate in hallucinations that could save his life.

Roy Leethe producer of Strange Darlingwill return to work with Mollner as producer of The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon. Christine Romero, Ryan Silbert and Andrew Childs will also produce. Nathan Kahane, former president of Lionsgate, will be another producers. Meredith Wieck will supervise the project for Lionsgate together with Pavan Kalidindi.
