“Anxius People' – Jason Segel will not be an Angelina Jolie sir Aimee Lou Wood

With shooting in London, the film project Anxious People Announces a new signing.

The three times nominated for Emmy, Jason Segel (Shrinking) adds to a cast that previously announced as the protagonist the winner of the Oscar, Angelina Jolie (Maleficent) already Aimee Lou Wood (The White Lotus), According to Deadline reports.

Anxious People adapts the novel of Fredrik Backman, with Marc Forster (A Man Called Otto, World War Z) as director of the feature film, with script written by David Magee (A Man Called Otto, Life of Pi, Finding Neverland).

Known for his role in the sitcom How I Met Your MotherSegel is currently enjoyed in Apple's original comedy series, Shrinkingof which he is the protagonist, coguionist and executive producer. Soon, he will star in Jorma Taccone's feature film, Over Your Dead Body.

Based on the novel of Fredrik Backman, The inspirator comedy set on the eve of Christmas Evefollow the investment banquera, Zara (Jolie), reluctantly relating to a group of strangers in an open day. When a reticent banks, Grace (Wood), takes the group as hostages unintentionally, chaos is unleashed and excess information is shared, secrets are revealed and, literally, nothing comes out as planned.

The film is described as “a crime that never happened, an aspiring bank thief that disappears in the air and eight extremely anxious strangers who discover that they have more in common than they never imagined … Through an ingeniously constructed story, Anxious People Explore the enduring power of friendship, forgiveness and hope: the things that save us, even in the most distressing moments.”

Forster described the story as “Full of humor, feeling, chaos and unexpected hope.”

Black Bear, Hope Studios, 2Dux2 and World Wide Word are the companies that support the project.

This production is the first to use the recently opened Pinewood Indie Film Hub, a production installation dedicated to independent filmmakers in Pinewood Studios, in London.

Fredrik Wikström Nicastro and Renée Wolfe produce the project, with Forster, Magee and Neda Backman as executive producers. Wikström Nicstro and Wolfe produced A Man Called Ottosuccessful adaptation of another Backman novel, directed by Forster.
